About me
My name is Laura and I’m a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Idiap Research Institute in Martigny, Switzerland, supervised by Lonneke van der Plas. Previously, I did my PhD at the The University of Manchester within the National Centre of Text Mining (NaCTeM) supervised by Prof. Sophia Ananiadou and co-supervised by Nhung T.H. Nguyen, Matthew Shardlow and Piotr Przybyła. My main of research is Natural Language Processing (NLP), including Multilinguality, NLP for HR and document-level Text Simplification. Before that, I worked in the industry as a Software Engineer at Intel Costa Rica.
