Highlights

Prototyped 20+ event-importance features across three scheduling products, including an event-topic classifier using multilingual sentence embeddings and semantic similarity matching, in Python and SQL.
Implemented topic-modelling algorithms (BERTopic, K-means) to discover event topics from historical data.
Engineered 6 dbt data models on Amazon Redshift computing meeting- and attendee-level features for event-importance scoring, validated by 30+ data-quality tests.
Built end-to-end data pipelines with Apache Airflow DAGs, connecting the dbt models to the event classification step.
Accelerated prototyping and delivery through an AI-assisted development workflow.

Highlights

Led the SEM24 Innosuisse project, turning business requirements into NLP systems for skill extraction from job offers and resumes, in collaboration between academia and industry.
Developed multilingual, explainable skill extraction algorithms for HR recommender systems using LLMs: semantic search, prompt engineering, text classification and generation, and Named Entity Recognition, fine-tuned with Python, PyTorch and Hugging Face.
Published five papers (RecSys in HR 2024, HICSS 2025, SwissText 2025 and 2026, Data & Policy 2026) and presented at NLP conferences, workshops and international forums.
Supervised a three-month internship applying NLP to social media data to analyse public perspectives on climate change.

Researched document-level text simplification, covering statistical analysis, generative methods and the design of evaluation metrics.
Built methods and benchmarks for lexical and sentence simplification using prompt engineering of LLMs.
